Lingfield are runners-up at Rotary Youth Speaks

Three Year 7 students, Oscar, Daniel and James, represented Lingfield College in the local heat of the Rotary Youth Speaks competition. Taking on the roles of Chair, Proposer and Opposer, they presented articulate, persuasive and thought-provoking arguments on their topic of choice - 'Is planetary defence worth the money?'

This was their first ever Public Speaking competition, so they should be especially proud of being awarded overall runners-up (First place went to a team of 6th form students).

The team now progress onto the District round of the competition and Miss Ridley is incredibly proud of their individual contributions and excellent teamwork which enabled their success.
