I am delighted to be furthering my studies at my first-choice university, Durham.

I joined Lingfield in year 12 from an all-girls school; it was such a refreshing and relaxed environment. The teachers are incredibly supportive and approachable. I felt comfortable talking to them about everything.

ADVICE Pick A Level subjects that you are passionate about, and when it comes to picking your uni course, pick sooner rather than later.

I am delighted with my A in Maths. When I started at Lingfield in year 9, I felt there were no limitations on how much I could achieve.  The teachers have really done so much for me.

I chose Art at A Level as I feel this is an important part of Engineering. My future ambition is to become an Aerodynamicist in Formula One.

HIGHLIGHT I really wanted an academic scholarship, and I achieved this with my GCSE results.

ADVICE Being smart can only get you so far; you do need to put in the work at A Level. Hard work really does pay off.

I've been at Lingfield since nursery and have always felt so comfortable here. In sixth form, the small class sizes mean I have the confidence to ask anything at any time.

The teachers get to know you and want you to achieve what they know you are capable of. 

HIGHLIGHT I was really proud of my GCSE results.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Netball and Hockey.

ADVICE Start working hard from the beginning. If you have a lot going on outside of lessons such as sport you need to keep on top of your workload.

THE FUTURE Gap Year then Biology with Business at Leeds University.

I'm really happy. My results mean I got my first choice of university, Imperial. 

HIGHLIGHT Being Lingfield Head Boy has really increased my confidence, especially in public speaking. Combining it with my studies and sporting fixtures has sometimes been challenging but hugely rewarding.  

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES I've played a lot of Hockey. Our Sixth Form hockey team was pretty good, which was a great bonding experience.

THE FUTURE Materials Science & Engineering at Imperial College, London.

The teachers have been amazing, especially Miss Brack, and I can’t believe I got an A*!  I have exceeded my expectations.

HIGHLIGHT Passing my grade 8 flute and singing exams this past year.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in School concerts. They are a great opportunity to build confidence in performing.

ADVICE I would advise anyone choosing A Levels to pick a subject they’re passionate about.

The Maths department has been very supportive, providing extra lessons to ensure we got the grades we needed. 

Lingfield Sixth Form has been great for building my confidence.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Hockey goalkeeper for 1st XI.

ADVICE If you are thinking of doing 4 A Levels, be prepared to put a lot of extra work in. Do as many past papers as you can!

THE FUTURE Degree Apprenticeship at Thales.  I would like to pursue a career in Rocketry.

I'm delighted with my results. My teachers have been really supportive in giving me the freedom to design sets for school productions, which has been exciting.

Lingfield is a real community school and the 1-1 guidance from teachers in Sixth form has been really beneficial for my studies.

HIGHLIGHT I’m most proud of the set design I created for last year's Shakespeare in Love immersive production.

ADVICE Keep on top of your work, but get involved in other opportunities.
