Why Work for Us
Beautiful Location
Lingfield College is situated in the heart of the Surrey countryside, on the borders of Kent and Sussex. The 40-acre campus is a beautiful and inspiring location to work, with maintained grounds, excellent outdoor sporting facilities and a rural outlook.
The Pupils
Our pupils are open, well-mannered and enthusiastic about learning. Class sizes are typically around 20 and often much smaller in the Sixth Form, allowing for closer and more individualised academic support.
Outstanding Teaching Facilities
We believe stimulating, creative and dynamic learning environments are the key to getting the best out of our pupils. Our purpose-built classrooms are modern, bright and airy spaces for teachers and pupils to engage with their subjects. Our Sixth Form boasts a contemporary lecture theatre, three ICT suites and a new media suite kitted out with the latest technology. All teaching staff are given a high specification touchscreen laptop with full Microsoft Office Suite to dock in the classroom and to take home. Staff utilise the School's learning platform FireFly to manage lessons on the go.
Career Development & Additional Responsibilities
We want to get the best out of our staff. We invest in staff development to cultivate the knowledge, skills and attributes you need to thrive in your role. We offer Early Leadership programmes and management training schemes. Regular co-coaching sessions are organised for staff to learn from each other and to share ideas. Ongoing training ultimately helps you to stay at the forefront of educational innovation while developing efficient strategies to best manage your time and resources
There are a number of additional responsibilities and duties available to staff. These include Deputy Heads of Year, Co-Curricular and Support roles. These positions attract an additional allowance. We are always open to new ideas and actively encourage staff to pursue projects of interest to benefit themselves and the School.
