Lab Technician - to start January 2025

We are currently recruiting a Lab Technician to join the Science team, to assist with the smooth running of the department whilst adhering to all legislative requirements in relation to Health and Safety.

Day to day tasks include co-ordinating and advising on the use of practical resources to meet the needs of the science curriculum, including liaising with teaching staff and support staff outside the Department. 

This post is a varied one and will require someone who is organised, approachable and willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work. Ideally, you will have a formal science qualification and be able to demonstrate good technical expertise to support the Chemistry and/or Biology curriculum. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential. 

This is a full-time role working 8.00am to 4.30pm, term time only.

Applications should arrive no later than 9.00 a.m. on Friday 10th January 2025.  Interviews are planned for week commencing 13th January 2025.

External Relations Officer – to start as soon as possible

An exciting opportunity for an External Relations Officer has arisen within our new development function at Lingfield College, with an immediate start. The role involves developing strong relationships and engagement with our alumni community and as well as expanding fundraising for our scholarship and bursary programme.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills in order to effectively nurture relationships with a range of external contacts.   

This post is a varied and busy role and will require someone who is highly organised, has proven ICT skills including experience of desktop publishing/image editing software, data cleansing and management and is willing to deal with a variety of tasks with a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to work.  Previous experience of working in fundraising ideally within the education or charity sector would be an advantage.

Salary: Competitive salary discussed at interview

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (8.30 am to 4.30 pm) on all year contract

Annual Leave: 28 days including bank holidays

General Catering Assistant - 25 hours per week

Working with a large friendly team at the prep school.

Duties will involve serving lunch to the students, supporting the team with after-school club and sports teas, clearing and washing up.

Hours: Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 5.30pm.

Term Time (40 weeks per year).

Some overtime will be required.

The ideal candidate needs to be flexible and have experience in a similar position. However, training will be given.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS and 2 satisfactory references.
