Lingfield College Shines at Rotary Youth Speaks Competition

Students debate fast fashion and Artificial Intelligence.
Six students from Years 7 and 8 represented Lingfield College in the East Grinstead Meridian round of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition at St Swithun's Church, East Grinstead.
Year 7 debated whether fast fashion is unsustainable.
Year 8 explored the argument that 'The Rise of Artificial Intelligence will lead to the Fall of Humanity'.
Rotary Youth competition teams from local schools debated topics of their own choosing and all the debates were fascinating, well-researched and confidently delivered. The judges praised both Lingfield teams, with Lingfield's Year 8 Team the winner in the Intermediate category and runners-up overall to Worth's Senior Team. They will now go on to the next round in February. We wish them lots of luck!
