Year 6 pupils have spent an unforgettable, action-packed week at Bowles Rocks. They've embraced adventure, teamwork, and new challenges, braving the jump on the Leap of Faith, skiing and constructing sturdy rafts. The students enthusiastically took on each activity.
The residential trip was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime. Pupils shared their favourite moments as part of their reflections, highlighting the friendships and fun that made the trip so memorable.
“My best moment was when we were all sitting around the campfire, having the time of our lives with our best friends and the people we’ve grown up with. We listened to a funny story and sang songs—Izzy, Sophia, Jen, and I were singing our hearts out. We were very crazy that night! I loved all the activities at Bowles, but this one was extra special because we were all happy, having fun, and surrounded by old and new friends. We roasted marshmallows and just had the funniest night. I picked this as my favourite activity because I got to spend time with people who mean the most to me.” Ava
“Bowles was very fun—I loved it! My favourite activity was skiing, and most people liked it too. I had been skiing before, but the button lifts were a struggle, and I kept falling off every time! Eventually, I got the hang of it and glided easily to the top. When I skied down, I got sprayed with the fountain on the slope—it gave me more speed and was so refreshing since I was so hot!” James
“Another great thing that happened at Bowles was the talent show. Quite a few people have a talent—Alex listed 50 digits of Pi, Mya bravely sang, Ryan solved a Rubik’s Cube in 1 minute 40 seconds, and Todd and Monty did keepy-uppies with a hockey stick against Mr. Davis. A few girls performed a dance to ‘Say a Little Prayer,’ and Charlie, Mya, Polly, Martha, and I danced to my favourite song, ‘APT.’ At the end of the talent show, we found out the winners, and to my surprise, it was my team! We all got a chocolate as a prize.” Spencer
The Bowles Rocks residential trip was an incredible experience for Year 6, packed with adventure, friendship, and personal achievements. It’s safe to say the memories made this week will be cherished for years to come!
