​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Introducing our Prep Head Prefect Team for 2024

There was great excitement on the first day back as our new Prep Head Prefects met with Head of Prep, Mrs Shackel to take their photo. The Head Prefects will take on leadership roles representing the School, supporting teachers, and offering guidance to pupils.

We asked the new team a few questions as they settle into their new roles for the academic year.

How did you feel when you found out you were picked for the Head Prefect team? 

Isabella: I was really happy and excited because being a Head Prefect is a big role, and I feel it’s a good accomplishment to have. 

Why did you want to become Head Prefect? 

James: I want to help people and give them a better experience. 

How will you make Lingfield Prep a better place as a Head Prefect? 

Spencer: I think we could make world of adventures open to every year group as everyone is always excited to go in there.

How will you make everyone feel happy and included in school? 

Elsa: On the playground, there is a snug, and not many people know it’s there because they don't feel upset or they don’t feel like they need to use it. But it’s there for those who just want to sit down and talk and feel like being listened to. 

What do you think makes a great Head Prefect? 

Isabella: Kindness, compassion and knowing how to help people. 

What are three words that describe you?

Spencer: Happy, polite and helpful.

What are you most looking forward to as Head Prefects this year? 

Isabella: Making speeches and helping out in assemblies.

What do you love most about Lingfield Prep? 

James: Everyone is really kind and easy to talk to, the teachers are really caring... and the food! 

What is one thing you would tell someone who is thinking of joining Lingfield Prep? 

Isabella: I have been at this school a long time, and it’s amazing. We would be happy for anyone to join us. 

Spencer: There's loads of space to run around and have fun.

Are you part of any clubs or activities? 

Spencer: I'm part of Study Club and Sports Club, I definitely prefer Sports Club! 

James: My favourite club is Coding Club, I really enjoy it. 

Share an interesting fact about yourself!

Spencer: I love planes and I want to become a pilot when I'm older.  

James: I really like coding and playing video games. 

Isabella: I love performing, and I have a hamster called Muffin. 

Elsa: I also love performing; I go to a club outside the school with Isabella, where we perform at West End theatres. 

Would you like to apply to be on the leadership team in the senior school one day?

All: Absolutely yes!

Spencer: What did sushi A say to sushi B... Wasabi!
