U11 Girls Reach Semi-Finals of ISFA Tournament
On Tuesday 14th May, the U11 team competed in the ISFA Regional tournament at Claremont School.
The girls played some fantastic football, battling every game with the whole squad playing their part. After 5 games, they had won four and drawn one, only conceding one goal in open play, so it was disappointing for the team to go out in the semi-finals on penalties. The girls can hold their heads up high as they were brilliant. Mr Marsh and Mrs Hiscock are incredibly proud of their performance.
Results:
vs Thomas' Battersea won 4-0
vs St Teresa's Effingham won 2-1
vs Churchers won 2-0
vs St Michaels Prep won 1-0
Semi-final: vs Thomas's Clapham drew 0-0, lost on penalties
Girls at Senior and Prep school have embraced the introduction of football to the curriculum last year. With teams from U8 up to U16, participation and enthusiasm from students continues to grow.
