On Saturday, December 7th, we held our 6th Annual MUN. We were delighted to welcome back schools that have supported this event over the past few years and to extend a warm welcome to those joining us for the very first time.  14 chairs and co-chairs took charge of 7 committees, ensuring productive debate took place and passing resolutions.  Thank you @mimsdavies for a thought-provoking and insightful speech to open our conference. Reflecting on her own experiences participating in MUN during her time at Royal Russel School, she shared how these formative years shaped her path into politics. What a night at the Christmas Concert! Performances galore from the Woodwind Orchestra, String Ensemble, Lingfield Symphony Orchestra, Acoustic Guitar Group, and the Ukulele, Street and Jazz Bands. The Show Choirs brought the house down with their superb harmonies and choreography. And don't forget the staff with their energetic performance of "I wish it could be Christmas Every Day"! Years 3 and 4 have had a fun Christmas activity day today. What an incredible day at the LCPA Christmas Fair! Our festive event over the weekend was a success, filled with holiday cheer and amazing activities for everyone. From decorating gingerbread to crafting beautiful wreaths and bouncing baubles to hooping gonks, there was magic in every corner! The Christmas Cafe kept everyone warm, while sweet cones and face painting added extra smiles. Congratulations to Kitty, Ella, Isabel, Thomas, Will, Hector, Flo, Emily, Henry and Finley who all competed at the Maidstone Music Festival on 23rd/24th November. They all performed to a high standard and many of them were successful in winning their class as well! It was a fantastic experience for all our students, not just to meet other musicians their age and grade level, but to watch them perform and meet the wonderful adjudicators who were so kind and helpful with their feedback. Well done to all our talented musicians at yesterday's Informal Music Recital. The audience was spoilt with such a wide variety of instruments from the Bassoon to the French Horn. We heard performances from students in year 7 taking to the stage for the first time to a stunning rendition of Impromptu in B Minor by Simreth in Year 13, in preparation for his grade 8 exam next week. All the performers played to an exceptional standard, and the whole concert ran smoothly thanks to Rupert in Year 13's presenting skills. Year 5 had their residential trip to @fscjuniperhall earlier this week. They had a great time doing a variety of activities, from team-building across the field standing only on carpets to working collaboratively to come up with the design that would best carry the egg when being dropped from a stairwell, learning to set humane traps for wildlife, and conducting experiments on a river walk!
