Lingfield Sport host their Biggest Ever Netball Tournament!

On Friday 4^th February 2022, 17 schools took part in the ISA London South Regional Netball Tournament which we hosted at Lingfield. This was the largest tournament our Senior or Prep school has ever hosted and we were delighted to welcome some new schools to the competition this year.

Our girls started the group stage of the competition extremely well and were unbeaten in their first 5 matches (3 wins, 2 draws). Unfortunately, a narrow defeat in our 6^th game, meant that we needed to pick up points in our remaining 2 matches to ensure our progression to the quarter finals. We faced these next 2 matches with determination and a great desire to achieve the positive results we needed. The girls did just that and secured a draw and a win.

Won 1-0 v Rosemead Prep

Drew 0-0 v Oakfield Prep

Won 1-0 v St David’s Prep

Drew 0-0 v Shoreham College

Won 2-0 v Oakhyrst Grange  

Lost 0-1 v Russell House  

Drew 1-1 v Deepdene

Won 2-1 v The Pointer School

With 2 points separating the top 4 teams in our group, we somehow finished 4^th, despite only losing one group match! We then had to face Group A winners Weston Green and unfortunately lost 0-3.

We are incredibly proud of how well the girls played and their achievement of reaching the knockout stages of a large, competitive tournament.
