Lingfield Prep Triumphs at ISA Regional Athletics

On Friday 10th May, 33 children from years 4, 5, and 6 went to the Xcel Centre in Walton-on-Thames to compete against 16 other schools in the ISA London South Regional competition.

The eventual winners of each final race go forward to represent the London South region at the National Championships in Birmingham. Only the first-place competitor can qualify from all events, with the exception of the 600m race, where gold and silver medallists both qualify. The silver medallists are also first reserves if a gold medallist is unable to compete on the day. 

We had some great performances and 14 Lingfield pupils will now go forward to compete in the National event on Monday 17^th June at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. This is a hugely exciting opportunity for our young athletes to compete on this stage.
